Come join ResLife for this workshop and discussion about how to plan for success after graduation. Speaker Annalicia Garcia of Alumni Engagement Lunch while supplies last!

Location: Academic Resource Center

Come connect and socialize with other first-gen students on campus to create community. Know you are not alone in your first-gen college journey. Light refreshments/snacks will be served!

R'Voices First-Gen Art Exhibition Call for Proposals

Date: Now until March 1

The UCR Library is excited to extend an invitation to all students to participate in our inaugural exhibition dedicated to showcasing the experiences of first-generation students. Our goal is to center students as knowledge creators by highlighting their diverse creative expressions. We welcome submissions in various formats, including but not limited to painting, photography, short stories, poetry, sculpture, textiles, jewelry, and other forms of arts and crafts.

Date: Wednesday, March 6 @12-1pm

Location: Career Center

Join us to learn how first-gen professionals grew their communication skills to help them prepare for professional interviews in their fields. Come learn communication styles & interview tips. Light refreshments/snacks will be served!

R’Voices First-Gen Library Art Display Exhibition

Date: April 26 through June 7

Location: Rivera Library

Come view student art via: painting, photography, short stories, poetry, sculpture, textiles, jewelry, and other forms of arts and crafts.

 
Dinner with First-Gen Alumni

Date: Wednesday, May 8 @5:30-8pm

Join UCR alumni who were the first in their family to graduate answer your questions about their college experience, career options and expertise they have gained. The program will include a networking mixer, panel Q&A and a sit-down dinner. Light appetizers, dinner, dessert, and refreshments will be provided.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) & Tutoring

ARC Mindful Study Sessions

Come learn how to study effectively using the Pomodoro Technique in the Academic Resource Center! Mindful Study Sessions be on Thursdays from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm in the ARC. Coffee and tea will be provided.
